The Joy of Living Between Languages

I really enjoyed the lecture. It was very motivational, in that I am excited to meet the Japanese-speaking version of myself. Dr. Angles was well-spoken and humble. When he spoke about his profession of translating text, it made me want to try. If there is a class about translation here I would love to take it, I think it is so interesting how everyone translates things differently. I also would be interested in dissecting Japanese poems or even writing my own. All in all, I could relate to Dr, Angles when he spoke about not being able to completely describe situations because of a lack of vocabulary, but I hope I can get to a point where I can completely express myself in Japanese.

母　と　おばさん　の　誕生日は　三月八日　ですから、誕生日　パーティー　をします。  たくさん　ケーキ　をたべたいです。母は　新しいえいがは　見たがっています。 先週　いとこ　の誕生日　でしたけど、来週    誕生日　パーティーも　します。おいしい　食べも　を　たべたいです。　おばあさんは　おいしい食べもの　を　作りますが、そとで　しょくじをしたいです。 たくさん　寝て　べんきょうをする　から、 私のはる休み は 　ちょっと　つまらないです。
